Meet Our Pastor
Hello! I am Boyce Wilson, senior pastor at Ebenezer Associate Reformed Presbyterian
Church in Rock Hill, SC. I would like to welcome you to our website!
I was born and raised in Gastonia, North Carolina where I grew up in the First
A.R.P. Church. After graduation from Erskine College, I went on to study at Reformed
Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. At that time I became a Christian
during special services at the First Presbyterian Church. I graduated from RTS in 1972
and then pastored in Iva, South Carolina for three-and-a-half years. From there
my family and I went to Mexico, where we served as missionaries with World Witness. In the
Summer of 1989 we moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, where I served as Associate Pastor of
Discipleship and Evangelism at Presbyterian Church of the Atonement. In June of 1994 our
family moved to Rock Hill where I now serve as Pastor of Ebenezer. I completed my Doctoral
degree in Missiology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 1985.
My wife Cathy and I have three daughters (two of whom are married), two grandsons and one granddaughter. We are excited to have another on the way! Cathy helps in a
variety of ways in the life of the church. She is originally from Winter Haven, Florida. We
enjoy hiking, walking, reading, traveling, and family activities.
My priorities in ministry are preaching and teaching God's Word, worship, music (I play
guitar with the praise band), missions, and small group ministries. I
serve on the board of Life Builders, a local ESL ministry to internationals
Though rich in history and tradition, Ebenezer is forward-looking in ministry and is
seeking to grow as this section of our city grows. To me, our church mission statement
says it all: Building a community in Christ to reach a community for Christ. My
desire is that we will passionately, creatively, intentionally, and prayerfully continue
to be a disciple making church for the glory of God and the honor of His Son as His Spirit
so leads us.
We would love to have you come and join us as we pursue these goals!
