Adult Ministries

The ministries of Ebenezer ARP Church fall  into five categories, each of which is under the leadership of a ministry mobilizer.  Those currently serving in this capacity are:

ECHO  (Ebenezer's Compassionate Home Outreach)
This ministry is being organized by the Outreach Team of Ebenezer for the purpose of developing guidelines for supporting ministries that exist in the Rock Hill area, developing lines of communication with existing ministries, developing service projects for the youth and others, screening ministries that ask for funds (that are not currently supported), and researching the development of our own ministry to the Rock Hill area.  The word echo means "one who closely imitates another's words, ideas, or acts."  Let us be an echo of God's love to the people of the Rock Hill area.

Prayer Ministry
The prayer ministry under girds all other ministries of our church. At Ebenezer, we provide the following opportunities to take part in this vital ministry.

• Prayer Pad (in back of the Attendance Pad).  Write out your requests and they will be prayed for on Tuesday mornings.

• Sunday Mornings at 8:30 a.m. in the Missions Room.  Come and pray for the Sunday ministry opportunities.

• Tuesday Mornings - 7:30 - 8:30 in the church parlor.  Come pray for the requests from the Prayer Pad plus other needs.

• With the Elders - following worship any Sunday or at their regular monthly meetings (third Monday of each month).   Please notify Dr. Wilson if you want to come to the session.

Divorce Care
The Divorce Care ministry provides Biblical teaching, encouragement, support and fellowship for those who have experienced divorce. This group meets on Sunday evenings at 6:30 in the church parlor. Dr. Jack Basie leads this group.

Women of the Church
The women are actively working in committees to help minister to other women both inside and outside of the church. The Women of the Church sponsor both large and small group ministries (called circles). A quarterly banquet is held for all of the women of the church.

Currently, we have 6 active circles which meet monthly for fellowship and Bible study. 

We are also offering a course in Spiritual Mothering this fall.

Undershepherd Groups
Each member of the church is assigned to an elder-led undershepherd group. By way of these groups we try to make the spiritual care of the congregation more personal and inviting.

  

Life Groups
Explore true life together in Christ by joining a Life Group.  Life Groups are now meeting on various nights of the week.  Catch the vision by attending one of these groups listed below.

Second Mile Club
Our Senior Citizens meet on the second Thursday of each month for special programs, meals, retreats, and trips. The Second Mile Club is open to anyone who is 50 years of age or older.

Men's Ministry
The men of the church meet  on the third Saturday of each month at 7:30 a.m. for a breakfast, followed by a devotional message and prayer.

  

The Inquirer's Class
The Inquirer's Class is a special class for those who are interested in learning more about Ebenezer and pursuing church membership. Pastor Boyce Wilson leads this class during the Sunday School hour.

  

The Missions Committee
The Missions Committee spurs us on to support world missions with prayer, supplies and financial assistance. In addition, the Missions Committee also helps in the planning and implementation of missions trips taken during the year by our adults and youth. Recent trips include: Mexico, the Bahamas, and the underprivileged areas of the Appalachian Mountains.

There are many other activities for anyone interested in ministry at Ebenezer:
